This version of the BMW Rear Bike Carrier 3.0 was developed for the secure transport of bicycles/e-bikes on a 50 mm diameter ball head of BMW tow bars. The sturdy carrier system has a maximum load capacity of 54 kg and accommodates bikes with a wheelbase of up to 130 cm. The bike carrier impresses with removable and freely positionable support arms and a redesigned ratchet function for the wheel tensioning straps. The rear carrier's foot-operated folding function allows for improved access to the luggage compartment. At the same time, theft-proof locks on the clamp bracket for the tow bar and on all bicycle support arms provide peace of mind. This makes the bike carrier the perfect companion, for example, for vacation trips or short trips with BMW models.

Safety instructions

For vehicles with high-mounted exhaust systems (X models from X3 and larger), the exhaust heat protection with part number 82 72 2 344 298 must be installed on the left and right.

Loosely mounted bicycle components (e.g., battery packs, panniers, baskets, child seats, etc.) must be removed before starting a ride. Before mounting the carrier on the trailer hitch, ensure that the ball and clamping system are free of grease and oil using appropriate cleaning agents.
